Titanium dust and other poi effects

Hi All!,
I'm trying to find titanium dust to create the cool sparkles for my poi.
Does any one know where I can find them? Also, any suggestions to other uses of titanium dust, or other materials/ chemicals to create different type of effects?

I've been getting related questions a lot lately. You might check for "titanium flake", "titanium oxide", and "titanium powder" on the internet, and with fireworks companies that sell chemicals.

Chemicals that burn a given color can also be found through some of these companies. Always make sure you know what you are burning, and make sure you can get MSDSs for anything you buy commercially! I do not recommend burning chemicals in an alcohol fuel (which is how it generally works) for health reasons!

You may also want to take a look into steel wool poi, as this is a cool effect that is not really any more dangerous for your lungs than regular fire poi, though the burning metal effect can be dangerous to those nearby.
